We are currently developing a few courses to help build the capacity of our volunteers as well as the greater community, including schools.
Outline: This course will cover the following topics:
The Rules
Referee's Equipment
Referee Roles, Positioning & Communication
Pre and Post Match Checklists
Unclear Calls
Dealing with Difficult Situations and People
*Note that this course is geared towards referees running Dodgeball For All events, but the majority of the course will be relevant to most dodgeball leagues or tournaments using WDBF Foam Rules.

Requirements:
You will need to be able to access Google Classroom and other Google Applications (Docs, Slides, Drawings, Forms as well as YouTube).
A laptop with an internet connection would be preferred but a phone may suffice.
A phone or a camera on your laptop capable of recording a short video.
Outline: This course will show you how to:
Structure training sessions
Teach dodgeball rules
Work with different age groups
Use different games and drills to develop player skills
Teach basic dodgeball strategy
Support player resilience
Support positive behaviours and routines in your players to develop a good sporting culture
Geared Towards: Coaching or teaching Upper Primary Aged students or older players who are just being introduced to Dodgeball as a sport

Requirements: Having a basic understanding of the rules of dodgeball would be a bonus, but not necessary.
Outline: This course will run you through a variety of different activities you can do with your players, including:

Throwing Drills
Accuracy & Skill Drills
Dodgeball Variations to reinforce skills
Proper Dodgeball Rules
Basic Strategies for Dodgeball
Geared Towards: Coaching or teaching Upper Primary Aged students or older players who are just being introduced to Dodgeball as a sport

Requirements: You should complete the Basic Coaching Theory Course before enrolling in this. You will need to attend this course in person and be prepared to play.
