Referee Course
Outline: This course will cover the following topics:
The Rules
Referee's Equipment
Referee Roles, Positioning & Communication
Pre and Post Match Checklists
Unclear Calls
Dealing with Difficult Situations and People
*Note that this course is geared towards referees running Dodgeball For All events, but the majority of the course will be relevant to most dodgeball leagues or tournaments using WDBF Foam Rules.
Cost: $20 | $5 Discount if you (or a family member) are signed up to our events, leagues or sessions
Format: Online
Requirements:
You will need to be able to access Google Classroom and other Google Applications (Docs, Slides, Drawings, Forms as well as YouTube).
A laptop with an internet connection would be preferred but a phone may suffice.
A phone or a camera on your laptop capable of recording a short video.
Level 1 Coaching Theory
Level 1 Coaching Theory
Outline: This course will teach you how to:
Structure training sessions
Teach dodgeball rules
Use different games and drills to develop player skills
Teach basic dodgeball strategy
Support player resilience and developing a growth mindset
Support positive behaviours and routines in your players to develop a good sporting culture
Geared Towards: Coaching or teaching Upper Primary aged (Junior) players or older players who are just being introduced to Dodgeball as a sport
Cost: $20 | Take both Level 1 Courses together: $45
Format: Online
Requirements: Having a basic understanding of the rules of dodgeball would be a bonus, but not necessary.

Level 1 Coaching Practical
Outline: This course will run you through a variety of different activities you can do with your players, including:
Warm Up Games
Throwing Drills
Accuracy & Skill Drills
Dodgeball Variations to reinforce skills
Proper Dodgeball Rules
Basic Strategies for Dodgeball
And more!
Geared Towards: Coaching or teaching Upper Primary aged (Junior) players or older players who are just being introduced to Dodgeball as a sport
Cost: $30 | Take both Level 1 Courses together: $45
Format: In Person

Requirements: Having a basic understanding of the rules of dodgeball would be a bonus, but not necessary. If you have no previously completed the Level 1 Coaching Theory Course, you will need to do so at the same time as this course.
